GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Location: Remote

Hours: Approximately 5-8 voluntary hours per week

Start Date: End of January, minimum 6 month voluntary commitment

About the Position: The applicant must have prior experience in graphic design, collaborating with social media managers, the ability to work independently, as well as a great interest in fostering interfaith relations and supporting refugees.

Main Tasks: 

  • Design graphics in alignment with RP branding

  • Collaborate with RP’s social media coordinate and newsletter coordinator

  • Create graphics for RP’s advocacy and research outreach 

  • Develop imagery and graphic content for the RP website and RUBIES journal as needed

Reports To: RP Managers and Managing Director

SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT

Location: Remote (preferably London or Berlin)

Hours: Approximately 8-10 voluntary hours per week

Start Date: End of January, minimum 6 month voluntary commitment

About the Position: The applicant must have prior experience in social media management (mainly Twitter), success with driving outreach and engagement campaigns, collaborating with social media team members, as well the ability to work independently; and a great interest in fostering Christian-Muslim relations and supporting refugees. Education in migration studies, religious studies, and/or international relations is preferred. 

Main Tasks: 

  • Collaborate with RP’s social media team and attend monthly meetings online 

  • Assist with developing the team’s social media content marketing strategy

  • Assist with crafting monthly themes for our social media campaigns

  • Manage RP’s Twitter account and build relationships with likeminded organizations and influencers online

COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

Location: Remote (Berlin or London preferred)

Hours: Approximately 8 voluntary hours per week

Start Date: February, minimum 6 month voluntary commitment

About the Position: The applicant must have prior experience in communications, public relations, and social media. The applicant must possess superb written and verbal communication skills, as well the ability to work independently; and a great interest in fostering Christian-Muslim relations and supporting refugees. Education in migration studies, religious studies, and/or international relations is preferred.  

Main Tasks: 

  • Plan and implement a communications strategy.

  • Develop quarterly PR campaigns for Ruman Project’s online and offline activities

  • Liaise with journalists for press coverage and create content for press releases

  • Collaborate with RP’s graphic designer to design graphics for various purposes and ensure all marketing materials align with RP’s branding

  • Monitor RP’s social media and online presence

  • Assess and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies

  • Coordinate meetings, press conferences, and presentations as needed

COMMUNITY MANAGER

Location: Remote (Berlin or London preferred)

Hours: Approximately 8 voluntary hours per week

About the Position: The applicant must have prior experience in volunteer and/or community management. The applicant must possess superb written and verbal communication skills, as well the ability to work independently; and a great interest in fostering Christian-Muslim relations and supporting refugees. Education in migration studies, religious studies, and/or international relations is preferred. 

Main Tasks: 

  • Manage RP Community

    • Inform relevant departments at universities about RP and the RP Community

    • Develop and maintain RP's private Facebook group

    • Develop ideas to engage community members

  • Manage RP’s Membership Program

    • Track new members and develop ideas to engage members

    • Collaborate with the RP Newsletter Coordinator 

    • Develop strategy to obtain new members

    • Inform relevant departments at universities about RP and the RP Membership Program

    • Assist with webinar production and communicate with experts, activists, artists, and public leaders featured in RP webinars

About the Position: The applicant must have prior experience in drafting policy briefs, recommendations, and similar documents; and experience analyzing issues regarding refugees and interfaith communities through an inclusive lens. The applicant must possess superb written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently; and a great interest in fostering Christian-Muslim relations and supporting refugees. Education in public policy, migration studies, religious studies, and/or international relations is preferred. 

Main Tasks: 

  • Develop a research agenda for RP on a quarterly basis

  • Monitor injustices further threatening refugees and Christian-Muslim relations

  • Collaborate with RP Contributors to develop and publish monthly advocacy briefs and open letters

  • Assist the Managing Director with various policy, research, and editorial projects 

  • Collaborate with RP Contributors to produce monthly posts for the RP Online Journal

DEPUTY EDITOR

Location: Remote (Berlin or London preferred)

Hours: Approximately 8 voluntary hours per week

Start Date: February, minimum 6 month voluntary commitment

About the Position: The applicant must have prior experience in editing, writing, and content management; and very comfortable with working with text regarding refugees, intersectional feminism, migration policies, and/or interfaith communities. The applicant must possess superb written skills, as well as the ability to work independently; and a great interest in fostering Christian-Muslim relations and supporting refugees. Education in migration studies, public policy, religious studies, and/or international relations is preferred. 

Main Tasks: 

  • Edit and review RP Contributor’s online journal submissions

  • Assist with the production of the RUBIES Journal

  • Write and edit documents, handbooks, and other requested copy

  • Proofreads and oversees all content on the RP website
