The End of Summer in Egypt

Eid Al-Adha, known as the "Festival of the Sacrifice", commemorates the willingness of Ibrahim (or Abraham in the Christian Bible and Avraham Avinu in the Jewish Torah) as he prepared to sacrifice his son, Ishmael, on God's command. This year Eid Al-Adha is to begin on September 11 and Muslims all around the world celebrate this holy event.

Egypt is always a lively country, especially at nighttime, and the the observation of Eid reminds Egyptians of the importance of taking care of their families and neighbors. Many Egyptians travel with their families and close friends to beautiful beaches around the country during the end of summer months.

Popular beach destinations for Egyptians include El Gouna, Ain Sukhna, Marsa Alam, Dahab, and Hurghada. You will also find many international tourists who also enjoy the beauty of Egypt during the summer! Snorkeling, sun bathing, scuba diving, fishing, swimming, and wind sailing are just a few of the activities tourists and locals can enjoy.

End of Summer Dates

Egypt has much more to offer than just the Pyramids of Giza and the Valley of Kings. If you have ever considered visiting Egypt, the end of summer months provide the perfect opportunity. You can take a feluca ride on the Nile River, or go coffee hunting in Al-Azhar, or go sandboaring on Kataneya Dunes, or hop on Nile Cruise from Cairo down to Luxor and Aswan.
